“As the city lit up in flames, the waters around started to boil and rose to the sky, forming dense clouds. The storm had finally arrived, and with a single giant wave, it laid waste to my plans, my revenge, my last purpose, but also the city and everyone in it, except for me, and I felt my memories were slipping away as I lay there, on a crude
life-preserver assembled by chance.”
lyrics
I can recall the second December
in the wonderful age
of the Horse, and the screaming Beast of Meridian,
sleeping under the growing rooted feet of the Burdock Weed,
guarding the Deadly Disease that killed most of the Blanket Trees.
“Follow the violet path missing.”
What in the name of?
All in the name of none by the name of...
In a strange aftertime, while I rest on the same old shore.
What in the name of?
All in the name of none by the name of...
“Carry on over receptacle hollows
and see not to fall off the edge.” On the floor,
a lifetime is pointless. You’re saying it all wrong,
my father, I’m somebody else.
Call my name, violet hour.
Call my name, violet hour,
hour of purpose, don’t give me another!
Hour of purpose, don’t give me another!
What in the name of?
All in the name of none by the name of...
In a strange aftertime, while I rest on the same old shore
What in the name of?
All in the name of none by the name of...
All in the name, all in the name!
Tranquillizing waves on a frequency,
low below the focus of harmony.
Tranquillizing pattern emerges in
multiplying time to infinity.
...so the day blossomed in a circle set on fire.
By a name, other, the sun is spilling color on my flower bed.
My god! am gone I, will abandon what’s left.
With a new head, I will imagine the world is right again.
Today came,
and every day since then
has a late daybreak,
so I never forget.
A strange aftertime,
before I understand the meaning of the words
inscribed in ever-changing forms.
Around me,
shades of blue, through the mourning dew
come undone, in golden light.
Shades of blue, through the morning dew
never come alive.
What in the name of?
All in the name of none by the name of...
The first time I heard the older but nevertheless wonderful album "The Portal of I" and later the 23 minutes lasting epicness of Painters of the Tempest that on it's own makes Citadel the greatest of the three very nice albums of this band, I was in love with the complex and wellwritten songstructures. I am waiting for the follow-up of Urn..... grote_smurf
Highest-quality-metal!
Imagine Cynic having a baby with Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, Atheist and Joe Satriani!
And now imagine this and add fantastic songwriting!
Ok.
